When an emergency happens, adequate in-house staffing ensures a timely response to quickly and efficiently mitigate the situation. Our members have worked hand in hand with management to ensure Fire and EMS services are available around the clock.
Our members attend regular training programs to better ourselves to be ready to help you. All of our members carry multiple certifications in Fire and EMS, including level 1 or higher fire service instructors, Fire Inspectors, Uniform Construction Code inspectors, Firefighter Levels 1 & 2, and more. Not to mention the while EMT-B is the minimum requirement, many of our members are Paramedics.
Helping those in need does not stop at the end of our shifts. The Evesham Professional Firefighters have a 501(c)3 registered charitable foundation that helps support our fellow firefighters and the community we serve.

A founding member and former Vice President of IAFF Local 4687, Sandy also chaired the Evesham Professional Firefighters Foundation, championing causes like Relay for Life and MDA’s Fill the Boot. She served on the Burlington County Technical Rescue Team, Mercury and Cooper CISM Teams, and was part of the IAFF Fitness Team and the Athletic Trainers Society of NJ. She’s also shaped future firefighters as an instructor at BCESTC.
A proud mother, wife, and triathlete, Sandy was also named one of Burlington County’s Outstanding Women in Public Service… If that doesn’t say it all, we could go on and on!
Congratulations, Lieutenant Lynch-Massi, and thank you for your incredible service. Your legacy will always be part of this department. 126 Comments

Today, we proudly recognize IAFF Local 4687 President Matt Heston on his promotion to Lieutenant, officially beginning his new role this morning.
Matt has served our members with unmatched dedication—balancing negotiations, grievances, and Monster Energy-fueled days and nights. He’s worn a lot of hats over the years: firefighter, USAR Coordinator, dedicated father, union president, soccer coach, and let’s be honest—probably a few he made up just to look busy.
As he transitions out of his role with A-Platoon and prepares to pass the Local 4687 torch, we’re confident he’ll continue to lead with the same drive that has defined his career so far.
Congratulations, Lieutenant Heston! Your work as a union leader has helped shaped this organization, and we’re proud to stand beside you in this next chapter. 49 Comments
