When an emergency happens, adequate in-house staffing ensures a timely response to quickly and efficiently mitigate the situation. Our members have worked hand in hand with management to ensure Fire and EMS services are available around the clock.
Our members attend regular training programs to better ourselves to be ready to help you. All of our members carry multiple certifications in Fire and EMS, including level 1 or higher fire service instructors, Fire Inspectors, Uniform Construction Code inspectors, Firefighter Levels 1 & 2, and more. Not to mention the while EMT-B is the minimum requirement, many of our members are Paramedics.
Helping those in need does not stop at the end of our shifts. The Evesham Professional Firefighters have a 501(c)3 registered charitable foundation that helps support our fellow firefighters and the community we serve.

Today, we proudly recognize IAFF Local 4687 President Matt Heston on his promotion to Lieutenant, officially beginning his new role this morning.
Matt has served our members with unmatched dedication—balancing negotiations, grievances, and Monster Energy-fueled days and nights. He’s worn a lot of hats over the years: firefighter, USAR Coordinator, dedicated father, union president, soccer coach, and let’s be honest—probably a few he made up just to look busy.
As he transitions out of his role with A-Platoon and prepares to pass the Local 4687 torch, we’re confident he’ll continue to lead with the same drive that has defined his career so far.
Congratulations, Lieutenant Heston! Your work as a union leader has helped shaped this organization, and we’re proud to stand beside you in this next chapter. 49 Comments
A family member of Josh’s, Christina, is currently competing in a national contest through Inked Magazine. If she wins, she plans to donate the $25,000 prize to Connor’s Crew—a foundation created in memory of baby Connor to help families facing the devastating costs of neonatal and infant burials.
Christina’s tattoos tell a story of love, loss, and purpose—and now that purpose could make a difference for countless families in crisis.
Voting is free and open daily until May 15. You can learn more or cast a vote here: https://originals.inkedmag.com/2025/christina-oatman
Please help us rally behind the cause that carries Connor’s name. 13 Likes
If you’re reading this wondering what plans you have this weekend—or how much candy you’re going to eat on Sunday (whether you celebrate Easter or not)—time to rethink, Cheech.
Because while you’ve been waiting for civil service to post that list in May (just so you can wait again to be certified), Evesham Fire-Rescue has been hiring.
While others are prepping for “the next test cycle,” you could be locking down your future with a department that’s grown by 88% in the last 10 years.
And you? You’ve got three days to drag yourself out of that cave you’ve been living in, pull it together, and drop off your application by April 21 at 4:00 PM.
This is not a drill. This is your last chance.

We’re not civil service. We’re not going to leave you hanging for three years while you lie about your zip code and hope your score is good enough to get noticed.
We hire.
We promote from within.
And we’re expanding right now.
